La Equidad vs Millonarios Prediction: Can La Equidad maintain their unbeaten form at home?

Millonarios will be travelling to Estadio Metropolitano de Techo to take on La Equidad for what will be the last round of the Categoria Primera A Clausura. La Equidad wrung out a win away to Bucaramanga in the last round (2-3) while Millonarios lost away to America de Cali (1-0).

La Equidad had it a bit easy against Bucaramange thanks to an early red card to the home team. James Aguirre got sent off in the 10th minute after a very poor tackle on Brayan Fernandez bringing Bucaramanga down to 10 men. La Equidad opened the scoring in the 20th minute after Martin Payares headed home Pablo Lima’s corner kick. Bucaramanga found an equalizer through a corner kick sequence three minutes into added time of the first half (45+3). Kevin Salazar got substituted in to start the second half, and he restored La Equidad’s lead with a solo goal in the 49th minute. Despite being down to 10 men, Bucaramanga’s resilience and tenacity was rewarded with a penalty in the 67th minute after Joan Castro brought down David Gomez inside the box. Jhon Perez took the resulting penalty kick and found the bottom right corner to bring the scores level. La Equidad eventually took home all three points when Francisco Rodriguez handled the ball inside the box to give La Equidad a penalty kick in the 81st minute. Pablo Lima took the Pk and duly converted it. La Equidad have two wins, two draws and one loss in their last five matches, scoring six goals and conceding five.

Millonarios (LDWDW)

A first half goal from Adrian Ramos was enough to hand America de Cali all three points against Millonarios. America de Cali dominated the first half with 72% of the possession and attempted 10 shots, while limiting Millonarios to just four. Their dominance paid off in the 41st minute when Carlos Darwin Quintero passed the ball to Adrian Ramos inside the box. Ramos went on to hit a left footed shot into the bottom left corner beyond the reach of the goalkeeper. Millonarios made three changes to start the second half to get back to the game and they played better but they just couldn’t find the back of the net. The second half was fiery and eight yellow cards were shown the half, while just two were shown in the first half. Millonarios have one loss and two wins and draws in its last five games, scoring six goals and conceding five.
