Huddersfield Town find themselves in a precarious position at the bottom of the Championship despite their recent positive performance since returning from the November international break. Under the management of Neil Warnock and then Darren Moore, the team had only accumulated 15 points from their first 16 matches, with three wins and seven defeats. However, they have improved in their last four league games, drawing with Southampton and securing an impressive victory against Sunderland. Although they have had to settle for draws in their last two matches after taking the lead, Huddersfield Town should be proud of their progress under Moore. With their lead over the relegation zone now reduced to two points, they must continue to perform well and aim to extend their unbeaten streak and return to winning ways in their upcoming home match.

Preston North End is currently going through a rough patch in their form, slipping to ninth place after a strong start to the season under manager Ryan Lowe. They started off with a bang, earning 19 points from their first seven Championship games and even claiming the top spot. However, in the last 13 matches since mid-September, they have only managed to win two more games. Their form decline began with a seven-game winless streak, following a run of six consecutive victories. They did manage to secure back-to-back wins against Coventry City and Blackburn Rovers before the November international break. Unfortunately, they haven't been able to maintain their momentum, gaining only one point from the last four matches. They suffered a 2-1 home defeat against Cardiff City and a 4-0 thrashing against Middlesbrough, with Isaiah Jones scoring twice and Rav van den Berg and Alex Bangura also finding the net. Their game against Queens Park Rangers ended in a disappointing 2-0 loss, and their most recent match against Norwich City resulted in a goalless draw. Despite their recent struggles, Preston North End is still just one point away from securing a spot in the top six. They have an opportunity to climb back into the playoff positions if they can rediscover their winning form. The team will be eager to turn their fortunes around and return to their winning ways in their upcoming match.

Huddersfield Town's recent string of positive results under Moore has instilled them with growing confidence. With an unbeaten streak in their last four matches, we predict they will emerge victorious against a struggling Preston North End team experiencing difficulties both in their offensive play and a worrisome decline in overall form. Expect a low-scoring game with under 2.5 goals.
