Leeds United will welcome Coventry City at Elland Road in Game Week 22 of the English Championship. Leeds can be out of automatic promotion talks if they lose more games. Who will come out on top after 90 minutes?

On Wednesday night, Leeds United's undefeated streak of seven games in the Championship came to an end at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland, under the leadership of interim head coach Mike Dodds, secured back-to-back home wins with a late goal from Jobe Bellingham. Leeds had dominated possession but struggled to score, only the third time this season and the first since their defeat against Stoke City on October 25. Leicester City and Ipswich Town also had victories this week, causing Leeds to fall 10 points behind the automatic promotion spots. The competition for promotion is intense this season, and Leeds will face a tough challenge with their strong forward line, including Daniel James, Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter, and Joel Piroe, who have collectively contributed 47 goals in the Championship. Despite this loss, Leeds remains the only team in the division with an undefeated home record, having won seven and drawn three of their 10 league matches at Elland Road, including impressive victories against Watford and Huddersfield Town.

Meslier; Gray, Rodon, Struijk, Spence; Ampadu, Kamara, James, Piroe, Summerville; Rutter

Coventry City's campaign started off slowly, with only one win in their first eight matches. However, they have been steadily improving and are now close to reaching the top six. In their most recent match against Southampton, they played to a 1-1 draw. Haji Wright scored his sixth goal of the season, thanks to an assist by Callum O'Hare. O'Hare, who had previously been injured, has been performing well since rejoining the team and even scored two goals in a match against Birmingham City on December 8th.

Currently, Coventry City is in 14th place in the Championship standings with 26 points from 21 matches. They are seven points behind sixth-placed Sunderland and six points ahead of 22nd-placed Queens Park Rangers, managed by Marti Cifuentes.

Coventry City's away record this season has not been the best, with only two wins in 10 matches. However, their recent impressive 3-0 victory over Millwall at The Den should boost their confidence as they prepare for a challenging trip to Elland Road.

The last time Coventry City faced Leeds was on Valentine's Day in 2012. Gary McSheffrey scored two penalty kicks, overshadowing Ross McCormack's strike, and securing a victory at the Ricoh Arena. Simon Grayson was the manager of Leeds at the time.

Collins; Van Ewijk, Thomas, Kitching, Bidwell; Allen, Sheaf, O'Hare; Sakamoto, Wright, Simms

We anticipate Leeds to come out strongly and score a few goals against Bradley Collins in the Coventry net, after being kept at bay by Sunderland in their previous game. Although Coventry has performed well in their previous home matches, facing Leeds and their passionate supporters at Elland Road presents a completely different challenge.
