Norwich City vs Preston North End Prediction: Preston's solid defence can earn them a draw or win

The canaries are set to host Preston on Saturday at Carrow Road. Will we see Norwich continue to put pressure on table-toppers Sheffield United or will Preston climb up the table?

Norwich is on fire in the Championship as we expect from them with them being in the second spot in the table just behind Sheffield United on goal difference. They are unbeaten in the league since a 2-1 loss against Hull City in August. The Canaries can sit on top of the tree in case Sheffield drops points against Stoke. Norwich played a 1-1 draw in the last game against Reading. They are building Carrow Road into a fortress with seven goals in the last three games. They will be looking to add to that impressive record.

Preston North End’s Form

Preston has been solid at the back with only four goals conceded in 12 games. They have not conceded any goal away from home in this year's Championship. The issue is on the other half with only four goals scored in the league. They have the worst attack in the division and the best defence. They were able to win the last game 1-0 against West Bromwich Albion. They are just two points off the playoffs spot and will be looking to push for that in the game against Norwich.

It will be a game of Norwich's good form at home and Preston's impressive away record. Preston has been a difficult team to play against in the season and given Norwich's recent hiccup we expect a draw in the game or Preston to win. Expect a low-scoring game with less than 2.5 goals as the two teams are not scoring a lot of goals at the moment.
