Russell Martin was likely cautious about Southampton's long undefeated streak eventually coming to an end, but he probably did not anticipate experiencing two losses in three matches. The 3-1 defeat at Bristol City served as a wake-up call for the Saints, who bounced back by defeating West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at The Hawthorns just three days later. However, Southampton's 13-match unbeaten run at St Mary's was ended by Hull City with a 2-1 loss on Tuesday, with the team now in fourth place and trailing second-placed Leeds United by two points. Despite this setback, Southampton has an opportunity to gain ground when they play on Saturday. 

Martin is likely to make changes to his Southampton lineup after making four substitutions before the hour mark in their match against Hull. Joe Aribo, Ryan Fraser, David Brooks, and Che Adams are all contenders for a spot in the attacking positions, but it is unlikely that Adam Armstrong will be benched. Flynn Downes may also return from injury and be immediately back in the starting XI.

Millwall is currently just one point above the relegation zone, with a scenario where they could end up in a relegation position by the end of Saturday if results do not go their way.

Millwall's lineup under new manager Harris is still uncertain, but they may stick with a back three. However, players like Brooke Norton-Cuffy, George Saville, and Ryan Longman could get a chance in the starting lineup.
