Namibia vs Liberia Prediction: Both teams eye a win in this one

The CAF World Cup qualification resumes, and in this encounter, Namibia will take on Liberia at Orlando Stadium. The last time these two nations faced was in 2012, an encounter that ended goalless in an AFCON qualification. Will there be a winner in this one?

Namibia will hope to do better in this game having failed to win any of their recent matches. The last time this nation played a competitive game, they took on Angola in the playoffs of the AFCON tournament in January, and they ended up losing 3-0. However, the prior encounters were against South Africa, a game where they were thrashed 4-0, coupled with a goalless encounter with Mali. Liberia

Liberia will look to keep their World Cup hopes high here despite coming in as road underdogs. The last time this team played in this qualifier, they were awarded a 3-0 win against Equatorial Guinea, having also lost their first game to Malawi in a match that ended 1-0. In the meantime, Liberia had played in two encounters after those World Cup qualifiers, being AFCON qualifiers, which they later missed. In those encounters, Liberia played Djibouti, picking a 0-2 win on the road in the first leg, and then settled for a goalless draw in the second game. In the Group H standings of the World Cup qualifier, Liberia have three points, positioning them 3rd spot in the standings.

I might have to rely on goals here. True, the two teams’ meetings have not really been productive but these are matches of over ten months. However, Liberia have been strong lately, and despite being on the road, we might still expect them to score here.
