The Rossoneri played two games last week. First, Bologna took on Atalanta in the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup, in which they went into the game as underdogs. 1:0 - Santiago Castro scored the only goal in the 80th minute as Bologna booked their place in the semi-finals.
The Rossoblu next faced one of the tournament's dark horses, Lecce, in an away game in which the Italian side could not respond much. Bologna had the better of the game and even scored what looked like a winner in the 87th minute, but Thijs Dallinga's goal was disallowed after a video review to leave the score at 0-0.
The result extended Bologna's unbeaten run in all competitions to nine games. Four wins and five draws were recorded at that time. Bologna sit eighth in the Serie A standings, four points adrift of the European Cup zone with a game in hand.
Torino
Aside from the Italian championship, Torino has not played in any other tournament and has not lost in a long time. Paolo Vanoli's side is currently without a win in seven matches, although they have drawn six of those games.
The last round of matches ended in a draw. Torino took the lead at the end of the first half through Morten Thorsby but conceded a goal in the 68th minute to draw 1-1.
The Pomegranates now have 10 draws from 24 games, but that's enough to keep them in the middle of the standings. At the end of the 25th round of the Serie A season, Torino are 11th and 8 points above the relegation zone.
