Udinese vs Inter Prediction: Don’t expect many goals

Inter picked up a vital Champions League win over Viktoria Plzen and will now face Udinese in the Italian league. Will the Nerazzurri be able to pick up three points here as well?

Udinese is coming into the match against Inter with a run of four wins in a row. On the previous day, the Zebras beat Sassuolo with a score of 3:1 on the road. Before that, they beat Monza (2:1), Fiorentina (1:0), and Roma (4:0). The defeat of Giallorossi is undoubtedly the coolest of these victories.

Thanks to such good results, Udinese sit in fourth place in the Champions League zone after six rounds. It is unlikely that the striped side will remain there, but Udinese has made a solid bid for the European competition.

After losing 2:3 to AC Milan in the Serie A derby and 0:2 to Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League group stage, they have won two straight games. First, Inter beat Torino 1:0 at home and then took on the Czech Republic's Viktoria Plzen away in the Champions League group stage. The Nerazzurri have slightly rehabilitated themselves, although there are still plenty of questions for the Milan side. After all, Inter lost to all their strong rivals this season - apart from Milan and Bayern, they also failed to Lazio.

Inter is currently only sixth in the Serie A standings. Although, should they beat Udinese, they could return to the top-four. And given their excellent statistics against Udine - eight wins and one draw in their last nine games - there seems every reason for that. The Zebras have been slightly over-pointed and could lose in the upcoming match. Don't expect a lot of goals from the forthcoming game either - both teams are among the best in terms of defensive play.
