Prediction for the game between Shimizu S-Pulse and Kashiwa Reysol ahead of the twenty-second match week. The visiting Sun Kings from Kashiwa who are three points away from the top spot will do all it takes to gain advantage at full time. The Shizuoka hosts are stuck in a parity looped situation, taking draws from their last two league games. They know that a defeat would automatically frog leap their opponents to the best seats in the league, and so will fight tooth and nail to cancel the occurrence of such. This will be one hell of a match.

A preview of the game team statistics, emerging lineup, and several betting options are available below.

Shimizu’s performance in five recent games have not shown the hosts with much league promise, with five points taken from the available fifteen. The last eight games for the side has been littered with four losses and three draws, with the twelfth placed hosts seeking to create better fortune for themselves.

As impertinent as their play may have been, the outfit has kept a pretty seven streak at home in the last four exhibitions, with one loss, two draws and one win. In honest terms, Shimizu is no match for Kashiwa, and the 1-0 friendly against League 2 side Fujieda is only a tip to show how porous their last lines of defence is.

They showed spirit against Gamba Osaka in the nil-nil affair that transcended against Nagoya Grampus in the subsequent fixture where a goal scored in the final minute was sufficient to prevent loss in the eventual 1–1 full time reading.

Team: Shimizu S Pulse has not gotten a break since the beginning of this season, it’s been week upon week in incessant struggles and pressure to perform. They are one of the easiest teams to score against, evident in their goal-against tag which reads a goal concession of twenty seven in twenty-one games.

Player: Chiba was on target last week against Nagoya, but prior to that, no one was. Shimizu’s admin staff may need to hire better coaching trainers, as the team lacks individual brilliance, with the players barely managing to create impressions during their games. Sumiyoshi will most likely begin ahead of Takahashi, who will be sidelined due to injury problems.

Predicted Lineup(3-4-2-1): Oki, Brunetti-Sumiyoshi-Hasukawa,Capixaba-Bueno-Uno-Yamahara,Inui-Matsuzaki, Kitagawa

Head Coach: Tadahiro Akiba

Out: Takahashi (injury-related)

Second-place Kashiwa Reysol are chances to take matters into their hands and contest for the J1League throne in the event of a win from this game. The Hitachi Kings have gone through a win-loss loop in the last five games where they have taken two wins and three losses, slowing down their momentum.

The six-goal thriller against the Kyoto Purples last week saw victory slip from their hands constantly, with the opposition making a comeback whenever they seemed to get ahead.

The Yellow-Blacks have had quite an impressive season, with only three losses in twenty two games.

Team: There is no doubt concerning the scoring prowess of this side, who have consistently proven strength against opposition. They have the best defensive received performance-wise with only three defeats. However, a little adjustment must take place in the defense if they are to get ahead of their subsequent challengers.

Player: Yoshio Koizumi took matters into his own hands last week against Kyoto Sanga, playing with the fury of the fallen as he broke the inertia between the sides and provided the assist for the third goal. He was deservedly awarded the man of the match. Mai Hosoya was unable to play a full match, and was subbed off in the 85th minute.

Predicted Lineup (3-4-2-1): Kojima,Harada-Koga-Mitsumaru,Kubo-Yamada-Nakagawa-Koyamtasu, Koizumi-Watai,Kakita.

Head Coach: Ricardo Rodriguez

Out: No injury concern

Head to Head, Kashiwa has five wins over Shimizu S-Pulse, who only has three. They have shared the spoils on two occasions.

The Managers however, have a different story, with Tadahiro Akiba beating Ricky Rodriguez twice in three direct meetings, where the latter took one win.

  • The Under 2.5 goal option has been a consistent scoreline between the sides in two recent meetings. You can pick this choice at 1.77 odds from Betway;
  • Kashiwa has taken three of four wins from Shimizu S-Pulse recently. Bet on the Away /Draw option at 1.365 odds from 1xbet;
  • The Home Under 1.5 option is great for a clash like this, as Kashima has striven towards scoring in recent games against Shimizu S-Pulse. This option is available at 1.44 odds from 1xbet;
  • Kashiwa scored three goals in their last league game while Shimizu scored one. We may be privy to enjoy residual momentum from this fixture. Go for the Away over 0.5 option at 1.24 odds from 1xbet.

The Shizuoka will try their best to challenge the Hitachi Sun Kings, who will rain down judgement on them at full time. The squad disparity is wide, and although the first half may play out with an illusion of equality, the second half will be a culling of the herd, with the Visitors owning all aspects of the match.

Below are my best predictions:

- My prediction is an Away over 1.5 goals at a coefficient of 2.14 odds from 1xbet;

- Our betting tip will be the BTTS- Yes option at 1.72 odds from Betway;

- Lastly, I will pick the Away Direct Win (Kashiwa Reysol) option as my final choice at the coefficient of 2.24 odds from the Bet365 bookmaker.
