CSKA will no longer overtake Zenit in the RPL standings, but they are still worth fighting for second place. Currently, they are six points behind the St. Petersburg club, which is quite a big advantage, given the St. Petersburg's steady wins. CSKA, on the other hand, has a slight problem with that. The day before last week the team absurdly lost points in a game with an outsider - a loss to Torpedo (0:1). After that, the Moscow club managed to defeat Khimki, but with only one goal difference (2:1). However, three points is three points and one certainly shouldn't underestimate the outcome. CSKA needs to catch up with Zenit, who are coming in first, and the Moscow club needs to score as many points as possible in every game.

Dinamo Moscow

Dinamo has reclassified as an average midfielder in the RPL. If at the beginning of the season the team had a decent status as a favorite, now things are different. On the eve of Week 12, the White and Blues are right in the middle of the standings (eighth place) with 16 points, five points less than fifth Krasnodar. Dinamo suffered setbacks in the last three rounds. First, the club lost to Sochi 1:2, then to Zenit (0:2), and lastly to Akhmat (1:2). The team is weak, and there are big questions as to whether they will rebound in time for the game with CSKA. Especially since the Moscow squad is now one of the league leaders.

It's difficult to make a prediction about CSKA vs Dinamo, because the latter is approaching this game as an outsider, and that's not surprising given their recent form. CSKA is fighting for a place in the top two, and they're obviously not going to lose points in a game against a mediocre opponent, and even less so at home.
