Real Madrid vs Mallorca Prediction: Expect a solid win for the champion

Sunday's pool for the fifth round of La Liga will open with a clash between Real Madrid and Mallorca. The Madrid side is the logical favourites.

Real Madrid

Real Madrid played six official games in the 2022/23 season and won them all, including the first leg of the Champions League against Celtic. In La Liga, Real is stronger than Almeria, Celta, Espanyol, and Betis and leads the league table with 12 points, two points more than Barcelona. However, the Catalans will play their game on Saturday, so Madrid could already be second by Sunday's games.

Mallorca

Mallorca has five points after four rounds: defeat at the hands of Betis, draws with Athletic and Girona, and victory over Rayo Vallecano. This number of points enables the Islanders to occupy the 12th position, four points ahead of the relegation zone. It should be noted that Mallorca hasn't suffered an away defeat: a draw against Athletic and a win over Rayo.
