Azam FC vs Simba SC Prediction: The Mzizima Derby will likely end in a share of the spoils

The stage is set for one of the season's biggest games as Azam will be poised to keep up the momentum when they face off against Simba SC at the New Amaan Complex on Thursday. Following their setbacks since the commencement of the campaign, Azam have flipped the script with back-to-back wins and will now face a solid Simba SC team in Zanzibar tomorrow.

The hosts secured their second win of the campaign, defeating Coastal Union on their ground. Azam FC were below their level as they managed just a shot at goal throughout the entire game. With a (1-0) victory, coach Rachid Taoussi's men secured his second victory after defeating KMC by four goals on the road before the game. 

Rachid Taoussi's comrades, who wrapped up their season in second spot, had one of their best seasons in so many years. However, they didn’t take advantage of the opportunity, as APR knocked them out of the CAF Champions League qualifiers. 

Azam FC have convinced their best player, Feisal Salum, to stick with them and have acquired some foreign experience to help them retain the second spot. 

Simba SC

Fadlu Davids's men have won their first two league games of the season as they hope to challenge this campaign for the Premier League title. Simba SC scored seven times in their last two matches, heading here with a victory (3-1) in their game against Al Ahli Tripoli in the CAF Confederation Cup qualifier. 

Simba SC began their campaign with total dominance against Tabora United and Tabora United. 

Simba SC finished below the top two for the first time in eight years. It was a terrible campaign for Simba SC, who lost three games out of thirty. Unfortunately, they will not play in the CAF Champions League this season and must settle for the CAF Confederation Cup. 

The management is making a total adjustment to the team, and it will take time for them to recover fully. Simba SC have let go of most of their star men but they have recruited excellently.
