Namungo FC vs Singida Fountain Gate Prediction: We anticipate a decent display from the hosts

After over two months' break, the Tanzania Premier League's new campaign kicks off with Namungo FC locking horns against Singida Fountain Gate at the Majaliwa Stadium on Saturday. Singida BS, who had a terrible ending last season, will be poised to get off to a flying start, while the hosts hope they make the top four this season after falling behind by five points in the previous campaign.

The Southern Killers were close to securing a return to the continental tournament after a two-year absence; however, their poor start to the campaign denied them the opportunity. Namungo wrapped up the season in 6th place, seven points behind the fourth spot. 

Namungo finished strong last season with six unbeaten records before the campaign was halted. They only lost four times on their ground last season, and we expect them to start strong again this time. 

Singida Fountain Gate

The guests survived relegation last season, picking up thirty-three points from a combined ninety. Singida BS's difficult run started when their owners left to acquire another club, resulting in losing most of their key players. 

Singida BS have acquired some quality players during the transfer window but we are not sure they can compete at the highest level this time. 

Expert Betting Tips

Over their previous six meetings, Singida Fountain Gate have won three while Namungo have recorded two wins and a game ending in a stalemate. The Southern Killers started poorly last season, failing to win any of their first five matches of the season. However, since they’re playing against an opponent who are less competitive than them, we expect a more aggressive approach from Namungo here.

We think both teams will settle for a halftime stalemate here for 1.94.

The hosts might get a win here for 2.10.
