One of the oldest clubs in Europe will take part in European competition for the first time in 10 years. Like now, back in 2012/13 Dundee FC started their campaign in the third qualifying round, only not in the Conference League, but in the Europa League. Last weekend Dundee United played the first round match of the new Scottish championship and could not cope on the road against Kilmarnock - 1:1.
Alkmaar Wins Without Conceding
For AZ the Dutch championship has not yet started. Therefore, Alkmaar has the opportunity to focus on the European tournament. In the previous round of the Conference League the team under Pascal Jansen, had no problems over Bosnian Tuzla City - 1:0 at home and 4:0 away. AZ claimed four shutouts in the last four matches. Also, Alkmaar has managed the same score of 1:0 against Westerlo and Bologna in friendly matches.

Dundee United has not played in European competitions for ten years. The last time they won on the international stage was 25 years ago over the club from Andorra. It is unlikely that this time the team will impress their fans. Alkmaar is off to a great start to the season.
