After failing to claim maximum points in their first two matches in League Two, Wrexham finally celebrated their first football league victory in 15 years with a 4-2 win over Walsall at home on Tuesday. It was an exciting game for the Wrexham fans, who saw Will Boyle score just eight minutes into his home debut, followed by goals from Ollie Palmer, Jake Bickerstaff, and Elliot Lee. This win gave the team a much-needed boost, and Manager Phil Parkinson was particularly pleased to see his key players performing well and believes that the team is starting to find their rhythm in the fourth tier after their promotion as champions from the National League last season. While Wrexham has been strong at scoring goals, with three or more goals in each of their last seven home league games, they need to work on their defense as they have conceded the most goals (eight) in League Two so far this season. Wrexham is now preparing for their first meeting with Swindon since 2009, when they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to them in the FA Cup second round.

Swindon, like Wrexham, earned their first three points of the new season on Tuesday with a 2-1 comeback victory against 10-man Forest Green. At halftime, Swindon was behind due to a goal from Mathew Stevens in the 14th minute. However, Daniel Kemp equalized just two minutes into the second half, and the game turned in Swindon's favor when Forest Green's Harvey Bunker was sent off in the 60th minute. Swindon pushed for a winner and finally succeeded with a 95th-minute goal from defender Frazer Blake-Tracy, giving Michael Flynn his first win since becoming the manager in May. Flynn acknowledged that his team made the win over Forest Green more difficult than it needed to be, and if they had been more clinical in front of goal, the victory would have been more comfortable. Swindon has only scored five goals from 56 shots in their first three games of the season. This win will boost Swindon's morale, particularly because they struggled to get positive results away from home in the second half of last season. They only won two out of 11 away games since the beginning of the year. Swindon now aims to secure back-to-back away league wins for the first time since December of last year when they face Wrexham, a team they have defeated in their previous two encounters.

We anticipate an exciting competition filled with numerous scoring opportunities between these two teams on Saturday, as both sides are optimistic about securing a victory. Nonetheless, we predict that Wrexham will continue their winning streak from their recent home win and emerge victorious in front of their loyal supporters. Expect more than 2.5 goals in the game.
