NJ Devils vs TB Lightning Prediction: don’t underestimate the guests

New Jersey is the only team in the East, which already has eight games played in the new regular season. Thanks to this, the Devils were able to earn more points than the rest of the team and are positioned in the leading position in the conference standings. We should also note that the Devils are not in the best condition for the game with Tampa. In the last three games they managed to register one victory - 3:1 over Ottawa, and in the other two New Jersey was weaker - 2:4 from Carolina and 5:6 (OT) from Washington.

TB Lightning

The team started the new season with three wins in a row - 4:1 over Carolina, 4:1 over Vancouver and 4:3 over Vegas. However, further something went completely off the plan. In the next two meetings, the Lightning were weaker. First they lost to Ottawa with a score of 4:5, and after that they failed to cope with Toronto (2:5). Thus, the Lightning went down to the eighth line in the Eastern Conference table.

Bookmaker analysts favoured the home team, which we don't quite agree with. Both teams approach the game not in the best conditions, but the Lightning feel much more confident in face-to-face meetings, winning seven of the last ten games.
