These two have been carrying the Canadian team through the playoffs for the last few years, where they've been trying to make it at least a round or two but have yet to make a real impact in the Stanley Cup race. Last season, the Oilers fell in the Western Conference semifinals, losing in six games to Vegas. In the offseason, they retained the core of their roster to make another attempt to make tangible progress. The debut of the regular season turned out badly for the Blue and Orange, and they lost twice to Vancouver - 1:8 and 3:4, but the day before, they beat Nashville - 6:1.

Philadelphia did not start the current regular championship badly, but the opponents' level during this stretch was not so solid. Now, the Flyers await a battle with Edmonton, where a star couple gradually gains momentum. On the eve of Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl collected six points for two and caught the spirit, and therefore, now the Pennsylvanians will be incredibly hard to stop them. The Oilers have a much more solid ambition this season and, therefore, can not afford to lose points in a confrontation with such a modest opponent.
