Bogdan Guskov vs Billy Elekana Prediction: the Bout Will End As Usual

On 19 January at UFC 311, Bogdan Guskov will share the octagon with American fighter Billy Elekana, who is stepping in as a replacement for Johnnie Walker. The fight will be in the light heavyweight category.

Bogdan Guskov became famous in Russia, where he fought in the Russian leagues. He lost his first UFC fight to Volkan Oezdemir, but then won his next two fights by knockout. All of Bogdan's victories have been early and he doesn't take long to finish. Out of his eight previous fights, only one went to the second round (the most recent, with Ryan Spann). After that victory, Bogdan jumped into the top-15 - he is now thirteenth in the light heavyweight division. Unfortunately, Johnnie Walker had to withdraw from the fight, as a bout with Billy Elekana would give Guskov nothing but a fee and a chance to not be idle.

Billy Elekana isn't a well-known name in the world of martial arts yet, but he has a shot. The 29-year-old American has recently competed in the LFA and PFL leagues. In his previous bout, he knocked out Jureall Simmons (4-0 record at the time) in the first round at an LXF tournament.

It's hard to imagine the fight going the other way than it usually does in Bogdan Guskov's fights. The fighter from Uzbekistan has had a full training camp and, motivated and eager to prove himself, while Billy Elekana is not taking any risks.
