Dan Ige is the 7th ranked featherweight in UFC and although he has a good record in the promotion (15-5) he has lost his last two fights with the last one coming in December 2021 to Josh Emmett. The 30-year old American has very good wrestling skills. He is more of a scrappy fighter but he also has decent hands and can throw a punch. In spite of his wrestling skills, he is poor at defending take-downs thus he is comfortable fighting at a distance where he can strike better.
Movsar Evloev
Russian Mostar Evloev is the 13th ranked featherweight fighter in UFC. The 28th-year-old was a former Bantamweight champion at the M-1 Global Promotions, a title he vacated undefeated to join UFC. Since making his debut in the promotion in April 2019, Evloev has accumulated a 5-0 record. A win for him against Ige will bring him closer to title contention in the Featherweight division. Evloev is a grappler and has durability. And he has big pace and will be looking to get his opponent to the mat where he always takes control. He has done it previously. He will hope to bring these abilities to play in the match.
Expert betting tips
Two wrestlers get the chance to grapple in the octagon. The fight will likely go to the person who can defend take-downs better. A technique that is not the fort for Dan Ige. Movsar is undefeated (15-0) and we don’t see him losing here. He will try to smother his opponent and will definitely look to go to the mat as he did for his win against Hakeem Dawodu. While Ige can box too, his punch is not dynamite. We believe the Russian will find a way to get him to the mat for the win. We go for Evloev to win by decision.
