Darren Till vs Dricus du Plessis Prediction: the Friendship with Chimaev to Bring its Fruits

Till came to the UFC in 2015, and at first, he was outstanding. Five wins and one draw allowed Darren to reach the welterweight title fight, but on September 8, 2018, at UFC 228, Tyron Woodley choked the Brit and seemed to take his soul away.

After Woodley's loss, Till had four more fights but won only once, with a tremendous effort against Kelvin Gastelum. An important detail - Darren couldn't win for three years now. In his previous fight last September, the Brit lost by choke to Derek Brunson at UFC Fight Night 191, and it was pretty hard to watch him without tears. But help came from where it wasn't expected.

Khazmat Chimaev offered to help Gorilla prepare for the fight, and that was the beginning of a strong friendship between the two UFC fighters.

Dricus du Plessis

The 28-year-old fighter from South Africa made a loud name for himself in the UFC, winning three fights in two years. In doing so, Dricus knockouts Markus Perez and Trevin Giles. Du Plessis has 17 wins and two defeats.

He is considered a talented prospect for a reason, as he has no particular weaknesses. He's working well in standing (seven wins by knockout) and fighting (nine submission victories).

Du Plessis has yet to face top contenders in the UFC, but now he'll get that opportunity. A win over Till will put Dricus in the top 10 of the middleweight rankings, so the fighter will be highly motivated.

Du Plessis is on a winning streak and ready to go to the next level, while Till's career has become a misunderstanding. But it may seem more complex than it may seem at first glance.
