  • In the last five (5) matches, two were by submission, all by Julija Stoliarenko. She aggressively pursues armbars and scrambles, often leaving herself open to damage if she can't get the finish. The bookies have Julija Stoliarenko to win by submission at 4.00 odds in the 1xbet bookmaker.;
  • Fernandes brings high-volume striking, improving grappling, and has shown finishing ability of her own, most recently submitting Wang Cong. She absorbs 5.5 strikes per minute and defends just 49%, while Stoliarenko absorbs over 4.5 per minute with just 54% takedown defense, meaning either fighter can find success in their preferred realm. The option is available at 1.44 odds in the 1XBet bookmaker for the fight to go to the decision.

I was high on Gabi Fernandes when she came into the UFC (too high). In hindsight, I’m kind of embarrassed to say that I picked her to beat Jasmine Jasudavicius, but there was a lot to like in Gabi's film. I saw a super clean striker with good power for the division, solid footwork; however, she got off to a rough 0-2 start in the UFC, conceding 7 takedowns and nearly 23 minutes of control time. The Jasudavicius loss had aged like fine wine; the Bleda loss hasn’t had a chance to age one way or another, as she hasn’t fought again. Since the rough start, Fernandes strung together two in a row, beating Carli Judice (has, and will continue to age well, I believe) and finishing Wang Cong as a huge underdog. Both of whom were primarily strikers, but Fernandes will have a good chance to finally prove she can beat a grappler here against Julija Stoliarenko, who is pretty much a one-dimensional armbar specialist. Unlike Fernandes’ first two opponents, Stoliarenko is completely unreliable when it comes to getting fights to the ground (5/18 on takedown attempts). She’ll desperately jump guard once she realizes she can’t take her opponents down, and sometimes that doesn’t even work. There is always danger with Stoliarenko, especially early, but I expect Fernandes to be able to stuff the shots, and if she does get taken down, I think she'll be okay. Once she defends a few grappling attempts, she’ll grow in confidence, and at that point, she'll start to light Stoliarenko up on the feet, and I see her eventually finding a stoppage. The Fight to NOT Go the Distance (-235) in Gabriella Fernandes vs Julija Stoliarenko is a strong bet due to both fighters’ clear finishing tendencies and defensive gaps. With both fighters capable of finishing and vulnerable defensively, this matchup is unlikely to see the final bell
