On 22 March, the UFC London tournament will take place in the UK. It will start with a fight between the Georgian fighter Guram Kutateladze and the Brazilian Cauye Fernandez, who will compete in the lightweight category.

Guram Kutateladze is also known as the Georgian Viking. He spent his childhood in Russia and Georgia, but then moved to Sweden, where he met Alexander Gustafsson and Khamzat Chimaev. He started his martial arts journey with jiu-jitsu, but kickboxing is probably his main discipline, having fought over a hundred times there.Kutateladze joined the UFC in 2020 through the Arabian league Brave CF, where he won two fights. He has only fought four times in Dana White's UFC so far: he won his debut fight against Mateusz Gamrot (but the result was very controversial), then lost two fights in a row (to Damir Ismagulov and Elvis Brener), and in his last fight he beat Jordan Vucenic on points.
Kaue Fernandes
The 30-year-old Brazilian has only competed in three promotions throughout his career: Shooto Brazil, LFA and UFC. In the strongest league of the world, he had two fights: he lost by split decision to Mark Diakesi and knocked out Muhammad Yahya in the first round.He prefers to fight on his feet, has not lost early, and almost all his victories were won in the first round.

It's unlikely that Guram will be able to beat the Brazilian on his feet (he's not doing so well lately in fights with punchers), but if he gets through the first round and uses wrestling, he'll have a very good chance of winning. Kutateladze, of course, understands this, and in the first half of the fight he won't go for it. But he'll probably keep going, even if he doesn't look very confident. He might not be winning, but he has more chances to get points from the judges because he's more flexible, and he's been doing well in the third rounds for a long time.
