Kovinic has progressed to the third round of the Australian Open, French Open, and Indian Wells Open. After withdrawing from Wimbledon, the 27-year-old joined the Poland Open and lost in the first round against Jasmine Paolini.

After losing 6-0, 6-2 against Nuria Parrizas-Diaz, she failed to qualify for the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati.

Williams returned to the singles circuit at Wimbledon, where she was defeated in the first round by Harmony Tan. The American advanced to the second round of the Canadian Open after defeating Nuria Parrizas-Diaz 6-3, 6-4. She was, however, defeated in straight sets by Belinda Bencic.

Williams then competed at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati, where she was beaten in the first round 6-4, 6-0 by Emma Raducanu.
