Before losing to Mukhova, the Brazilian had knocked Avanesian, Sorribes-Tormo, Kalinskaya and Wozniacki out of the Grand Slam. In Seoul, Beatriz defeated Tomljanovic and the Kudermetov sisters, while in South Korea, Haddad Maia did not lose a single set.
