We believe that Khachanov will have no problems reaching the third round of the Madrid Masters. He is no stranger to Grand Slam tennis, having played five matches on the surface at two tournaments. Thiago is a competent clay courter, but not at the highest level, and the Brazilian played only two games in Europe, fewer than Khachanov. Plus, he knows Monteiro quite well, having beaten him three times on the tour, including quite a confident win in Belgrade last season.
