In 2022, Roberto Bautista Agut had a mediocre season, winning 39 of 59 matches. He did win two ATP 250 championships, at Doha and Kitzbuhel, defeating Nikoloz Basilashvili and Filip Misolic in the finals.
The 34-year-old also advanced to the Swiss Indoors semifinals in Basel. He was defeated in his final two matches of the 2022 season, in the Paris Masters and in the Davis Cup quarterfinals.
Andrey Rublev
Rublev had a successful 2022 season, winning 51 of 71 matches and capturing four trophies. The Russian won three ATP 250 championships as well as the Dubai Tennis Championships. He has advanced to the quarterfinals of the French and US Opens.
The ATP Finals were the 25-year-penultimate old's competition of the 2022 season, when he defeated the likes of Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas to reach the semifinals before succumbing to eventual champion Novak Djokovic.
