As usual, the women's Roland Garros surprises with a high stages lineup. In the first semifinal of the women's tournament the world No. 59 Trevisan will fight with the No. 23 of the WTA ranking, Cori Gauff. The girls played against each other a year and a half ago and the Italian won that match on clay. Despite the result, the bookmakers are on the side of Gauff.

Martina has a 10-match winning streak. Before Roland Garros, the Italian won the Moroccan Rabat tournament, beating Liu in the final in two sets. In Paris, she has lost only one set so far, knocking out Dart, Lynette, Saville, Sasnovich and Fernandez. She lost the game to the Canadian, and the match lasted two hours and 19 minutes, with Travisan committing seven double faults and one break, winning 71% of her first-serve points and 31% of her second-serve points. Unlike Trevisan, Gauff had a rather difficult seeding. The American knocked out Canada's Marino, Belgium's Van Uytvanck and Mertens, Estonia's Kanepi and her compatriot Sloane Stephens. Remarkably, the American has not lost a single set so far at RG-2022, which proves that Gauff is in great shape. The match against the latter lasted only an hour and a half, 7-5, 6-2. Gauff fired three aces and made six double faults, winning 59% of her first serve points and 58% of her second. Note the density of the stats regardless of whether she served first or second. The American, on the other hand, has negative numbers: 18/23.

Gauff in RG-2022 did not lose a single set, while Trevisan gave the match only to Canadian Fernandez. Despite these statistics, we believe that the upcoming meeting will be a long one, both are in good shape. Visually there is no difference in class between the Italian and American.
