Both teams are competing in Group C, alongside Benfica and Boca Juniors. This marks the first game in the Club World Cup for both Bayern Munich and Auckland City.
It was previously reported that some players from Auckland City will miss this tournament, as they were unable to secure leave from their primary jobs.
