Bayern robbed the biggest rival

Bayern takes everything they like! The transfer policies that we have seen in Germany in previous seasons continues. For years, they took the best players of Borussia from Dortmund, and now it's the turn to "rob" RB Leipzig. This summer, they have already taken three people from that team ... The Bavarians signed the best defender and offensive player of the team that was their biggest rival in the fight for the title last season this summer and all that after Julian Nagelsmann from RB Leipzig succeeded Hansi Flick on the bench of the giant from Bavaria. It will be another heavy blow for RB Leipzig. The team that finished second in the Bundesliga last season was left without a coach, stopper and offensive midfielder this summer - and they all joined the ranks of champions.

What kind of “monopoly” Bayern Munich has in German football is clearly seen through the current transfer period. In the same, for less than 60,000,000 euros, they bought the best defender and offensive player of the team that was his main competitor for the title last season. Defender Dayot Upamecano arrived at the beginning of July for 42,500,000 euros, and now the transfer of Marcel Sabitzer was made official, for which 16,000,000 euros were also paid to Leipzig.

By signing a contract with the Bavarians, which dates to 2025, the Austrian national team member's boyhood dream came true. There is no doubt that he will have many trophies with Bayern in the coming seasons - on the domestic scene, of course, but why not in Europe, which the German giant last conquered in 2020. Bayern rarely misses with reinforcements, especially when they arrive from the Bundesliga. It is unlikely that the tradition will change with Marcel Zabitzer, since the Austrian is one of the best players in the Bundesliga in his position. However, the 27-year-old from Graz can play anything - from a defensive midfielder to a false nine, although in his career he mostly tortured opponents from the right wing.

Zabitzer started his career in Admira. From there he went to Rapid from Vienna. During 2014, he moved from the Austrian capital to Leipzig, of which he was a member for seven seasons. He did not play for the German team right away but went on loan to Red Bull Salzburg where he shone. He scored 19 goals in 33 matches.

During his six years in Leipzig, he recorded 117 games and hit the opponent's net 40 times. He is a standard member of the Austrian national team. He played 54 games and scored eight goals.

"Marcel Zabitzer has everything that a Bayern footballer should have. He won't need much time to fit in, since he is very familiar with the coaching philosophy of Julian Nagelsman," said the executive director of the Munich club, Oliver Kahn.

"As a kid, I was proud to have a Bayern jersey, and I got a new one every Christmas. I will give everything for this club. I came here to win titles, "said Zabitzer.
