Kylian Mbappe has made the decision to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer, when his contract expires. Multiple clubs, including Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Arsenal, have been interested in a potential transfer for the 24-year-old French player.

The president of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al Khelaifi, had been hoping to persuade Mbappe to sign a new deal last month by saying,

The president of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al Khelaifi
Look, I am not trying to hide anything. I want Kylian Mbappe to stay at PSG. He's the best player in the world, and the best club for him is PSG. He is central to our project. We have done a lot of things; some have worked more than others. We have made mistakes, and this is normal.

The terms of the forward's departure have not yet been finalized, and the two parties are currently in the process of negotiating whether Mbappe will leave for a fee or sacrifice his own earnings.

PSG and Mbappe are expected to make an official announcement once this matter has been resolved, which is expected to take place within the next several months.

Liverpool, Arsenal, and Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for Mbappe, who insisted that winning trophies would dictate his next move. Mbappe, who has won five Ligue 1 titles and eight other trophies during his spell at PSG, is keen on taking on a new challenge.

Liverpool have been linked with Mbappe, with their interest dating back to his time as a youth team player at AS Monaco. Last year, however, Jurgen Klopp conceded a deal for the PSG star was unlikely due to the astronomical finances it would take.

Jürgen Klopp
I can say that I think he's a really good player, said Klopp, who will leave Anfield at the end of the season. But the financial conditions don't suit us at all.

Arsenal have also been heavily linked with signing the Frenchman Mbappe, with Mikel Arteta bidding to sign a new striker next summer. It is thought that Mbappe is attracted to the idea of following in the footsteps of legendary French player Thierry Henry. The two are often compared due to their similar beginnings at Monaco and their style of play.

Real Madrid have also held a long-term interest in the 25-year-old forward, who would have to take a pay cut to join the Spanish side, even though they are prepared to make him the highest-paid player in their history.

Recently, the president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, stated that Real Madrid has a "55-60 percent" probability of signing Mbappe. He made this statement to the Italian media earlier this month:

The president of La Liga, Javier Tebas
55-60? Yes, I think so. Every day that passes and Mbappe does not sign the new contract with PSG, the percentage increases. I don't know the costs of the Mbappe deal, but in any case, Real have an excellent financial situation. They never did crazy things in recent years.
