Malaysia's Packet One (P1) has purchased Pacnet's license to operate a Wimax network in Singapore, and will transfer the license to new subsidiary P1 Singapore.

The ITU has received six technology submissions for 4G standard to be known as IMT-Advanced. The submissions will now be assessed against ITU requirements.
