HGC, Macroview collaborate on leased-line cloud service

Hutchison Global Communications has partnered with Macroview Telecom to launch WiseNET CloudConnect leased-line service.

The services is expected to enable enterprises to connect their data centers to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform in a secure, reliable and cost-effective way to reap the benefits of cloud computing.

The firms said the collaboration brings together the strengths of a telecoms operator and cloud service providers to create a one-stop corporate-grade hybrid cloud solution.

The new offering comprises the Microsoft Azure public cloud platform, private cloud storage from NetApp, Cisco’s integrated cloud management solutions, Macroview’s one-stop-systems integration and cloud management service and the WiseNET CloudConnect leased line service. Customers can now enjoy the flexibility and cost-effectiveness of public cloud, coupled with secure and reliable connectivity.

Jennifer Tan, Hutch Global COO said, “We have seen strong demand from corporate customers for connectivity to popular public cloud platforms. We have therefore partnered with Macroview to launch a corporate-grade leased-line cloud service based on our comprehensive network infrastructure.”

“Our role as a cloud network service enabler is demonstrated by connecting customers to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform via WiseNET, a network service of the highest international Ethernet specifications,” Tan said.

P H Tang, Macroview’s CTO said, “Huge demand exists for public cloud, and Macroview’s wealth of experience in ICT solutions integration, coupled with HGC’s advanced infrastructure, enables us to provide customers with a comprehensive cloud solution.”

“We can deliver the latest hybrid cloud technology to customers via our collaboration to launch the WiseNET CloudConnect leased-line service,” Tang said.
