Ocean Blue Software has unveiled its MHEG-HD demo application for digital TV, which is designed to enable developers to visualize the effects delivered by the HD extension so that they can design the most compelling digital TV applications.
The company's Voyager MHEG-5 software, says Ocean Blue Software, is ready for integration into digital televisions and set top boxes, giving developers a quick route to the MHEG HD market.
MHEG-HD will deliver advanced levels of interactivity and an enhanced viewer experience for weather, financial markets and news headlines, as well as support services and information for relevant TV programs. It also provides program synopsis and electronic program guides, the company adds.
