Motorola has introduced its Wimax Evolution solution for operators to upgrade existing Wimax 802.16e / 802.16e Enhanced networks to 802.16m or TD-LTE, or to add LTE to their existing Wimax networks.
Customized for rapidly spreading 4G networks, the offering is based on a single RAN (Radio Access Network) solution that supports existing technology.
It is also said to provide operators with a cost-effective way to upgrade their network offerings, preserving capital and protecting investments.
