The number of consumers using navigation applications doubled in just a few years ago, but even in mature markets it has reached only around 50%, according to NAVTEQ.

Results of the latest yearly NAVTEQ Tracking Study show that 48% of US respondents said they had used navigation, up from 22% in 2006.

In Asia Pacific (China and South Asia), only 34% of respondents said that they had used navigation while 58% were familiar with it.
