GetJar said it removed Opera Mini browser from its lineup of free-to-download applications because Opera Software decided to include a competing app store in its browser.

Opera Mini had racked up more the 30 million downloads over the last several years and was one of the most popular apps in the browser category.

For its part, Opera Software has opened its Opera Mobile Store at mobilestore.opera.com.

This storefront is a featured Speed Dial link in the Opera Mini and Opera Mobile browsers, and has been built and delivered through a strategic partnership with Appia.
