Nuage Networks, a venture of Alcatel-Lucent, said its Virtualized Services Platform (VSP), version 3.0 has earned through Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) readiness status for the Oracle Exadata, Exalytics, Database Appliance, Big Data Appliance, Linux and VM.

The VSP is a solution that makes the network as readily consumable as the computer resources in a cloud environment. It does this by providing the missing link that can help ensure rapid and efficient delivery of customizable application services, in and across multi-tenanted data centers.

The solution can enable the deployment of scalable cloud-based services with the agility and performance demanded by dynamic application environments.

The Oracle Exastack Ready program recognizes Nuage Networks as having an SDN platform that leverages the latest Oracle technology to better support joint customers. VSP can help enable software defined networking that can be tailored to meet business requirements, because the network is now programmable and automated.

With VSP, network and data center resources can automatically scale up for business demand in any location needed at any time programmed. This can help businesses with rapid responding technology resources that automatically expand or contract to support business in a more cost effective manner, while reducing staff that would be required in a manually provisioned network, the company said.
