Utiba strengthens global management team

Utiba, which supplies mobile financial transaction platforms for mobile operators and financial institutions, has added three new members to its leadership team.

Abhishek Bhalla is now regional director, SAARC region, leading the company’s operations and business processes in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan.

Bhalla joined Utiba in 2009 as sales director for the area and group account manager, handling key global accounts like Orascom and Tigo (Millicom International group).

Surajit Bhattacharjee, who was one of the founding employees of Utiba India, has rejoined the company as director of strategic projects and global revenue enhancement.

In his second stint at Utiba, Bhattacharjee will be responsible for creating and managing a new global revenue enhancement group within the company.

Khurshid Khair has assumed the new role as the general manager for Pakistan to manage and expand Utiba’s operations in the country.

Khair has extensive and diversified experience in information technology, telecom and banking industry, and held senior positions at Bank Alfalah- an Abu Dhabi Group Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and National Bank of Pakistan.
