ZTE said its ZXONE 5800 bearer network equipment has demonstrated interoperability in the recently concluded 4th Automatically Switched Optical Network (ASON) Interoperability Test.

OIF (Optical Internetworking Forum) organized the test, which was conducted at Verizon’s and China Telecom’s laboratories -- in the US and China, respectively – and covered end-to-end provisioning of dynamically switched Ethernet virtual private line services.

ZXONE 5800 is ZTE’s new-generation bandwidth management system with large-capacity convergence and intelligence, and offers robust service grooming and provisioning capability with access capability of a single sub-rack reaching 1.28T.
