ZTE launched a LTE (Long Term Evolution) and EV-DO Rev.B dual-mode system at the EXPO COMM Wireless Japan 2009 held last July.
The system is developed based on ZTE’s software defined radio soft base station platform, which has been widely adopted for commercial use in the global market.
ZTE's dual-mode system can evolve smoothly to LTE by simply adding LTE baseband board and upgrading software.
Through software advancement, ZTE’s EV-DO Rev.A can evolve to EV-DO Rev.B network which is backward compatible with EV-DO Rev.A users’ access.
