Brazilian ex-boxer Obenauf sentenced to 16 years in prison for brutally murdering her husband

Brazilian former professional boxer Viviane Obenauf has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for the brutal murder of her 61-year-old husband.

Obenauf was arrested in 2020. According to the investigation, Vivian hit her husband 19 times over the head with a baseball bat. According to the Swiss magazine Blick, the husband reacted too coldly to the fact that he was pregnant. It is specified that the couple had problems with conception, so the athlete resorted to artificial fertilization.

Obenauf competed in the professional ring from 2014 until 2019, ending her career with a 14-6 record. Among her opponents were Katie Taylor, Natasha Jonas, Terri Harper, Ewa Brodnicka and Chantelle Cameron.
