British Boxer Georgia O'Connor Dies at 25 of Cancer

British professional boxer Georgia O'Connor died at the age of 25 after battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer. This was reported by the Mirror.

O'Connor was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis (UC), a chronic inflammatory bowel disease, in 2024. Georgia publicly announced her cancer in January this year, four months before her wedding.

O'Connor was a British Commonwealth Amateur champion, as well as a silver medalist at the 2017 World Youth Championships and a bronze medalist at the 2018 Youth World Championships.

She fought three bouts in the professional ring and won all of them.
