Saul Álvarez recognized as GQ's Athlete of the Year

Absolute world super middleweight champion Saul Álvarez of Mexico received the Sportsman of the Year award at the GQ Magazine's Man of the Year ceremony according to the regional edition of Mexico and Latin America.

Canelo was awarded for his victory over Gennady Golovkin in September of this year.

32-year-old Álvarez had his last fight in September 2022 against Gennady Golovkin. That fight went the full distance and ended with Canelo winning by unanimous decision. In May, 2022, Álvarez lost to Dmitry Bivol by unanimous decision. He has 58 wins (39 by KO) and two losses.
