Formula E driver Sam Bird commented on seven-time world champion and Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton’s decision to finish the Singapore Grand Prix despite brake issues.

The question is, should you continue if you’ve got no brakes? Is that deemed dangerous? Did Lewis do the right thing? I would continue with a lap to go. If I were in the same position, I would have continued and crossed the line and let the stewards decide on what they want to do. I think that Lewis did the right thing, but I can completely see why Fernando went irate.
Earlier, some F1 experts stated that either the Italian team or the race director should have withdrawn Hamilton from the race.
Recall that the 40-year-old British driver finished seventh but received a five-second penalty from the stewards for multiple off-track excursions, which he attributed to brake problems.
As a result, Lewis Hamilton dropped to eighth place, losing his position to Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin.
The race winner was British driver George Russell, driving for the German team Mercedes.
