Bayer Leverkusen Announce Departure of Xabi Alonso as Head Coach

Bayer Leverkusen have officially announced that Xabi Alonso will step down as the club's head coach at the end of the current season.

It has been reported that Alonso is set to take over as the manager of Real Madrid, while the current coach Carlo Ancelotti is expected to leave the club.

Alonso has been in charge of Bayer since 2022, leading the team to seize the Bundesliga title and win the domestic cup in the 2023/24 season.

Earlier reports indicated that Alonso would sign a three-year contract with the Madrid club.
