Louis van Gaal, head coach of the Netherlands national football team, has evaluated the decision of the national team fans not to come to Qatar, where the final part of the World Cup 2022 starts on November 20.

Fans from many European countries have declared a boycott of the 2022 World Cup in the wake of information about human rights violations in Qatar during preparations for the tournament, as well as restrictive treatment of sexual minorities in the country.

Louis van Gaal
I think the fans who are boycotting the World Cup in Qatar are right because they believe in it. I don't see a problem. I hope we will play so magically that at the end of the tournament, that when we get to the final, they will watch the match on TV and see how good we are.

The coach added that one shouldn't forget the differences between European culture and Qatari traditions, and said he had no issues with the organization of the World Cup in Qatar.
