The host country for the Finalissima, where the winners of the 2024 European Championship and Copa America will face off, has been announced.
According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, the match will take place on March 28 in Qatar.
The European champion is Spain, who defeated England 2-1 in the final. The Copa America winner is Argentina, who beat Colombia 1-0.
It is also noted that FIFA plans to hold the match at the Lusail Iconic Stadium. Miami and Riyadh stadiums were considered as alternatives.
Recall that the first men’s Finalissima was held in June 2022, where Argentina won decisively against Italy with a score of 3-0.
The Finalissima is a tournament within the expanded cooperation between UEFA and CONMEBOL.
