Messi stays at PSG with a higher salary and 1+1 contact

BBC journalist Guillem Balagué reports on his social media that the PSG club will sign its forward Lionel Messi to a new contract under the 1+1 system. The player's salary will increase.

The source claims that Messi has already agreed to all the clauses of the contract and will soon put his signature on it. The new agreement is valid for two years.

The forward decided to stay in Paris, as there was no counter-offer from Barcelona, and the footballer's family enjoys living in the French capital.

Messi spent the current season for PSG 19 matches in all championships, scored 12 goals and gave 14 assists. The club holds first place in the Ligue 1 standings with 41 points after 15 rounds.
