Legendary Cameroonian footballer Samuel Eto'o is on the verge of resigning as president of the local football association.
The former Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter, Chelsea and Anzhi forward has been in the position since December 2021.
According to Marca, the Cameroonian league published an open letter calling on FIFA president Gianni Infantino to dismiss Eto'o, who is accused of corruption, holding rigged matches and embezzlement of funds.
Earlier, Cameroon Football Association general secretary Blaise Junan told Sport24 that Samuel will come to Moscow for the friendly match against Russia.
