Van Gaal says Depay will miss the Netherlands' first match at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar

Dutch coach Louis van Gaal said Dutch forward Memphis Depay is likely to miss the team's opening match at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar against Senegal.

Van Gaal told National News
Losing Depay will be as much of a blow for us as missing Mané for our opponents. We will miss Memphis very much.

Recall that the Senegalese captain Sadio Mané, who finished second in the voting for the Ballon d'Or - 2022, was included in the application of his country for the World Cup in Qatar, but he won't appear at the tournament because of a fibula injury.

The match of Group A Netherlands vs. Senegal will take place on November 21, beginning at 16:00 GMT.
